Radiology is the branch of medicine that deals with
the application and study of x-ray or imaging technology to diagnose and/or treat disease. The use of x-rays and
radiography is also used every day to evaluate bone fractures and other injuries of the musculoskeletal system.
The medical imaging department at United Hospital District provides patients with CT, mammography, ultrasound, bone density screening and
radiography services. The department is also home to mobile services and testing such as MRI, nuclear medicine,
echocardiograms and vascular studies.
Today, UHD's medical imaging department provides patients with the latest technology. We offer 4-D Ultrasound and
Spiral CT services. The medical imaging team also provides radiological services at UHD Clinics in Blue Earth, Beth
Loveall Diagnostic Center in Winnebago and the UHD Clinic in Wells.
