ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat) physicians work in the branch of medicine that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the head and neck, including particularly the ears, nose and throat. ENT doctors are also called otolaryngologists.
Our staff physician, Dr. Matthew Patterson diagnoses and treats a wide array of conditions including ear problems, nasal disorders, sinus problems, allergies, hearing loss, tonsils, chronic ear infections, thyroid tumors, masses in the head and neck and voice/vocal chord disorders. He performs surgery in the head and neck area above the collarbones, excluding the eyes, brain, and spinal column. Some examples include endoscopic sinus surgery, ear surgery in children and adults, thyroid and parathyroid surgery and some reconstructive procedures.
