Diagnostic Imaging and Radiology

In Medical Imaging, several different technologies are used to view the human body in order to diagnose, monitor, or treat medical conditions.  Each type of technology gives different diagnostic information about the area of the body being imaged.

At UHD, our Medical Imaging Department provides X-ray (Radiology) services at our Blue Earth, Fairmont and Wells locations. Our hub in Blue Earth also provides CT (Computed Tomography), Mammography, Ultrasonography, Bone Densitometry, and Fluoroscopy services. Mobile services include MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging), NM (Nuclear Medicine), and Echocardiography.

All tests are interpreted by board certified radiologists from our partner organizations, Sanford Health and Virtual Radiologic Corporation.

Convenient Mammogram Scheduling Through MyChart

United Hospital District is pleased to offer patients the ability to self-schedule screening mammograms directly through MyChart, making it easier than ever to stay on top of your breast health.

When you are due for your annual screening mammogram, simply log in to your MyChart account and choose a date and time that fits your schedule — anytime, day or night, without needing to call during office hours.

Important Scheduling Information

• At least 365 days must have passed since your last screening mammogram
• Online scheduling is available for routine screening mammograms only
• Patients experiencing new breast pain, lumps, or other breast concerns should schedule an appointment with their provider first
