To be eligible, the student must be:

Student applicant: please share these links with your counselor and the person writing your letter of recommendation.

Deadline for submission is Friday, March 13, 2026.

Scholarship applications will be reviewed by the UHD Foundation Board in late March. The scholarships will be awarded to the candidate(s) who best show:

  • Outstanding academic achievement
  • Passion for a career in healthcare
  • Financial need
  • Community involvement and volunteerism

Once the recipients have been selected, the award certificates will be presented at the student's spring awards event either by the Foundation Director or the school's representative.

To receive the financial award, the student must send a request along with a copy of the first quarter/semester college transcript, student ID number, and the mailing address of the school's financial aid office. (The check will be made out directly to the school/university.) The transcript must show that the awardee was enrolled as a full-time student and obtained a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better. If the award request is not submitted by April 1, 2027, and/or the student fails to meet the GPA requirement, the scholarship award will be revoked.
