UHD Precautions
Regarding COVID-19

** UHD HOSPITAL AND BLUE EARTH CLINIC ARE OPEN **

United Hospital District is committed to protecting the health of all who come to our facilities. To continue to provide a safe environment for both our patients and staff, we have implemented the following precautions:

ALL PERSONS WILL BE SCREENED UPON ENTRY. Patients will be asked a set of short questions and assessed for health concerns prior to being seen by a UHD Clinician.

URGENT CARE: UHD is not currently offering Urgent Care through our Emergency Room. Please call our Blue Earth Clinic at 507-526-7388 to schedule a Same Day Appointment, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please note that at this time, UHD will only see patients with high-risk health concerns.

EMERGENCY ROOM: any patient seen between 5:00 P.M. and 8:00 A.M. will be considered an Emergency Room patient and will be seen in the Emergency Room.

UHD FAIRMONT CLINIC, WELLS CLINIC and WINNEBAGO CLINIC are closed until further notice.

UHD Cafeteria and Gift Shop are closed to the public.

All non-essential community meetings scheduled at any UHD facility are cancelled until further notice.

Visitor Restrictions

Effective immediately, visitor restrictions are as follows:

NO VISITORS ALLOWED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

SCREENING: All persons will be screened upon entry to any of our UHD locations. Patients will be asked a set of short questions and assessed for health concerns prior to being seen by a Clinician.

A Note About Cloth Masks

UHD WOULD LIKE TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE GENEROUS SUPPORT FROM OUR COMMUNITY

Several individuals and local businesses have kindly offered to make and provide cloth masks, in the event our supplies run low. Currently, we are not in need of cloth masks. If we find ourselves in need of cloth masks in the coming days or weeks, we will alert the community and respond to those who’ve already been in touch with us.

Changes to UHD Services

Effective, Tuesday, March 17, the following UHD services are limited or postponed until further notice:

CARDIAC REHAB – POSTPONED

PHYSICAL and OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY – LIMITED. Currently seeing only post-operative patients or patients with acute/crucial orthopedic injury.

SURGICAL SERVICES – LIMITED. All patients who may be affected will be contacted.

If you have concerns regarding your scheduled Well Visit, please feel free to reschedule it for a later date by calling us at 507-526-7388.

UHD Is Asking For Your Help
So We Do Not Overwhelm Our Resources

If you are sick with confirmed or suspected COVID-19, follow the steps below to help protect other people in your home and community:

    • * Stay home. People who are mildly ill with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 can recover at home.
    • * Separate yourself from others in your home; this is known as Home Isolation.
    • * Use separate bathrooms if possible.
    • * Stay away from others as much as possible.
    • * Avoid public transportation and ride sharing.
    • * Be sure to seek care if you feel worse or think it is an emergency, but call before you present to our facility.
    • Call us 24/7 at 507-526-3273.
    • *Those meeting testing criteria may be directed to a local testing site.

Again, if you are sick with mild symptoms or believe you have been exposed to COVID-19 but you are able to recover at home, please STAY HOME.

UHD thanks you for your support during this time. We will get through this together!

Call 507-526-3273 to schedule an appointment.
